Job Description

Security Guards are utilized as a visual deterrent to crime and the criminal element. Security Guards shall maintain high visibility, answer routine questions for directions and handle minor problems with courtesy and respect at all times.

Security Guards are expected to observe and immediately report situations to the appropriate personnel and/or emergency services via telephone, radio, or any means possible.

Security Guards shall immediately contact local law enforcement or emergency personnel by calling 911 (or 9-911 if calling from a state phone) in the following cases:

1) Assault, burglary, robbery, vandalism, or any suspicious activities.

2) A seriously injured or ill person, i.e., heart attack, stroke, or seizure.

3) Fire or smoke.

4) Any other conditions as identified by Client.

This Agreement will provide two (2) categories of Security Guards: Security Guard 1 (SG1) and Security Guard 2 (SG2).

1) Typical SG1 duties include but are not limited to: monitoring the entry and exit of personnel at Client's facilities; inspecting facilities to ensure doors, windows, and roofs are secure; protecting state property and deterring theft by physical presence while making Security checks throughout Client's facilities; reporting of unusual conditions to the proper personnel, including law enforcement; maintaining Security logs; writing incident reports; and notifying the appropriate Client personnel.

2) Typical duties of the SG2 are similar to the SG1 but require more technical expertise. Duties include but are not limited to: the operation of complex computer equipment for fire, intrusion, and other types of alarm systems. Client may assign other complex duties related to Security services as deemed necessary. The SG2 may receive Client sponsored formal training, if necessary

Work Environment and Schedule

• Job operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking, in the performance of daily security activities.
• Open availability Nights, Weekends, Holidays and overtime as directed(overtime occurs).
• Work various shifts and Holidays as assigned.
