Job Title – IT PMO Manager

Location - Folsom, New Jersey, United States, 08037

Duration – 6+ Months Contract

Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens Or GC Holders Only)

“hybrid” back-to-office structure in September. The candidate will need to be in the Folsom office at least 2 days per week.

Summary

Looking for a seasoned professional to join their team as a IT PMO Manager. The responsibilities of the IT PMO Manager include:

  • Management, oversight, governance and leadership of a team of FTEs and contractors (Project Managers & Business Analysts)
  • Improving IT PMO processes
  • Collaboration with IT and other department leaders to cultivate partnerships and working relationships
  • Mature and expand the adoption of IT PMO tools and artifacts (ITBM, PowerBI, etc.)

To be successful as the IT PMO Manager, you should demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, well organized, and able to work well under pressure.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Overseeing all aspects of project management activities for all projects with an IT component, from ideation through closure.
  • Leading a group of Program/Project Managers to ensure that all project management activities across the SDLC are performed according to established policies and processes. 
  • Determining assignment of Program/Project Managers to programs/projects, monitoring performance and acting as an escalation point for issues/blockers.
  • Analyzing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
  • Providing financial reports and budget outlines to Executives.
  • Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards.
  • Drafting new and improving existing project management office policies and processes.
  • Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.

· Accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and justification.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience managing an IT Project Management Office required.
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience using ServiceNow’s ITBM Portfolio and Project Management suite is highly desired. If not ITBM, then another PPM tool that supports Demand/Resource/Project planning and management.
  • Mature leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. This position reports directly to the Director, IT Planning & Governance, and will be responsible for the direct management and oversight of several FTE Project Managers and over a dozen contractor PMs.
  • Local candidate highly desired. SJI is moving to a “hybrid” back-to-office structure in September. The candidate will need to be in the Folsom office at least 2 days per week.
  • Empathy, collaboration, and adaptability are all must-haves. Comfort working in an extremely fast-paced, high-pressure environment required.
