Early Head Start Child Care Partnerships and Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers, part of SAL Family and Community Services and the Quad Cities areas leading provider of early childhood care and education, is seeking a Driver and Transporter. We provide a safe, secure and supportive environment centered on how playing can charge the mind of the children we care for.
The Driver/Transporter coordinates transportation of delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment for Early Head Start families, centers, and partner sites. This role will perform duties as assigned at agency child care sites. In addition to operation of designated agency vehicles, this position provides support in transporting children, adults, and cargo for Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers and Early Head Start. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A full list of job responsibilities will be provided prior to an interview. Education and Experience Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in minor building maintenance. Preferred: Job related Associate degree. At least one year driving a multi-passenger van. At least one year in an early childhood education, school, or summer camp setting.
