• Respect other members by engaging professionally and avoiding offensive or unlawful content.
• Comply with all applicable laws, including POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act).

• Use the platform for harassment, hate speech, or illegal activities.
• Post or distribute content that infringes on intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt platform operations.

• You retain ownership of the content you post but grant Compliance Connect a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the platform.
• You are solely responsible for the content you share.

• Participation in courses, quests, and assessments may lead to badges, certificates, or credits with partner organisations.
• Completion of activities does not guarantee employment or professional recognition unless otherwise stated.

• All platform content (excluding user-generated content) is the intellectual property of Compliance Connect or its partners.
• You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without prior written consent.

• We aim to provide continuous access to the platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• We may suspend access for maintenance, upgrades, or security reasons.

• You breach these Terms.
• You misuse the platform or engage in prohibited conduct.
• We are required to do so by law.

• Compliance Connect is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
• We are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from your use of the platform, except where required by law.

Privacy Policy

• Identity Information: Name, surname, username, profile picture, and professional designation.
• Contact Information: Email address, phone number, and social media handles (if provided).
• Professional Information: Job title, organisation, industry, qualifications, and compliance interests.
• Usage Data: Login activity, courses completed, forum interactions, posts, comments, and quiz results.
• Technical Data: Device type, browser type, IP address, cookies, and analytics data.

• Direct interactions: Registration forms, surveys, messages, and uploaded content.
• Automated technologies: Cookies, analytics tools, and tracking pixels.
• Third Parties: Professional bodies and accredited training partners with whom you are registered or enrolled for a course.

• To facilitate community discussions, networking, and knowledge sharing.

• To communicate platform updates, events, and compliance insights.
• To monitor and improve platform functionality and user experience.
• To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

• Your consent (e.g. newsletter subscriptions, optional profile details).
• Performance of a contract (e.g. providing registered user access to learning content).
• Legal obligations (e.g. record-keeping for accredited training).
• Legitimate interests (e.g. platform improvement and fraud prevention).

• Training and professional partners to facilitate certifications and skills recognition.
• Service providers who assist with hosting, analytics, marketing, and customer support.
• Regulatory bodies where required by law or for accreditation purposes.
• Other users on the platform as part of networking and collaborative learning (only if you choose to make your profile public).

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your personal information.
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).
• Object to the processing of your information.
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (www.justice.gov.za/inforeg/).
