Job Title: X-Ray Technologist (Radiologic Technologist) – Contract

Location: New York, NY 10024
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Type: Day Shift (Rotating Schedule)
Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Schedule
  • Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Thursday: 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in New York, NY. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent patient interaction skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures and ensure high-quality imaging results
  • Prepare and position patients for radiologic exams while ensuring comfort and safety
  • Operate radiologic equipment and adjust exposure factors as needed
  • Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients and staff
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Adhere to infection control policies and regulatory compliance standards
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance when necessary
  • Monitor inventory of radiology supplies and maintain a clean work environment
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain professional certifications
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of X-ray / Radiologic Technologist experience
  • New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) – Required
  • ARRT Certification – Required
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  • Dependability and ability to manage workflow efficiently
  • Experience in a hospital or high-volume clinical setting
