WHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOU'LL DO You’re a born leader, a dot‑connector, a changemaker, a storyteller, and a paradox navigator who works strongly in collaboration with cross‑functional teams across R&D, Marketing, consumer insight, and legal to identify and address emerging issues, set priorities, and continuously improve CTI processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design and implement robust sensory and consumer research that uncovers actionable insights and translates those findings into clear recommendations for product development, superior product design, and new growth opportunities. Develop and execute consumer technical test plans, including sensory or consumer product and packaging testing, to identify targets for designing superior products and evaluating their delivery. Define or contribute to the CI plan for innovation, strategic or competitive benchmarking exercises to ensure key attributes are at the heart of evaluation. Analyze operator and sensory data to draw out big consumer insights and identify key measures for driving superior product designs and evaluation, including Structure Team Assessments. Implement CTI best practice, techniques and processes for operator/functionality/performance testing. Lead and co‑author strategic Knowledge‑Based Stories (KBS) that highlight and elevate product superiority and support the Superiority roadmap. Support claims strategy through conducting claims workshops, claims support testing, and crafting compelling KBS narratives that align with brand strategy. Maintain up to 25% travel as required. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Keep the operator at the core of every initiative, ensuring their needs guide the product development process. Display curiosity and enthusiasm for food and emerging dishes, diet, and health trends. Partner closely with brand marketing, Consumer & Market Insight (CMI), and R&D to define outstanding, compelling claims and KBS. Manage or support execution of relevant operator, sensory or claims testing; interpret results, identify key insights, and efficiently cascade findings. Create exciting technical communications, visuals and demos that bring technologies and innovations to life. Co‑create KBS, demos, and other activation tools for the sales team. Understand the needs and attitudes of operators to connect product relevance with brand tone of voice. Write research study briefs and execute studies; work closely with internal functions and external vendors to ensure excellence. EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS Minimum BS or MS degree in psychology, nutrition, sensory science, food science, physical science, marketing/market research, or a related scientific discipline. Minimum 3 years in Consumer/chef/operator/dining insights, sensory science, and experience conducting sensory research, consumer qualitative, quantitative, and claims research (CPG with B2B is a plus). Minimum 2 years of experience within a category R&D function, with knowledge of the category or other food‑based business. Experience in B2B with chef, operators and dining experience and product functionality insight. Excellent oral and written communication skills to bring consumer/operator/sensory insights to life for multi‑functional audiences. Strong planning, organizational and attention to detail in executing CTI research and roadmaps. Ability to identify the needs of technical projects and create insight programs for delivery. Application of psychological principles to define operator insight research activities. Statistical knowledge and the ability to interpret data. Analytical thinking to identify patterns within data, and creative thinking to support new ideas and showcase product superiority. PAY & BENEFITS Pay range: $71,400 to $107,200 with bonus eligibility. This position is also eligible for long‑term incentive (LTI).
