Travel Physical Therapist (PT)

Travel Contract

Big Lake, TX 76932 (Reagan County - rural West Texas, ~45 min from San Angelo)

Rural hospital district - acute/critical access care, skilled nursing & rehab, and outpatient therapy

Weekly

[typically 13 weeks with extension option]

$75-$95 P/h (blended) 40HRS P/W

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans per physician referral and PT scope of practice
• Deliver therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait/balance training, and functional mobility interventions
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the EMR per Medicare/Medicaid and facility standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, OT/SLP, and case management on care planning
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety precautions
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and comply with state PT practice act and facility infection-control protocols

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent PT degree from an accredited program
• Active Texas PT license (or compact/state license eligibility)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 1 2 years PT experience (rural, home health, or skilled nursing setting a plus)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Home health or critical access hospital experience
• Geriatric or orthopedic clinical specialty
