Join our friendly, collaborative, and hardworking development team, reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications.
Reporting to, and in collaboration with, the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Strategic Marketing & Communications Manager develops and implements integrated marketing and communications strategies, plans, content, and tools to advance the Food Bank's strategic goals.
Working closely with departments and organizational leaders, this role oversees content creation and the execution of the Food Bank's annual integrated marketing and communications plan. This includes building awareness, generating external support, and inspiring engagement across key focus areas such as fundraising, volunteer engagement, and advocacy at the local, state, and federal levels.
This role also leads strategic message development and editorial content planning for external audiences, ensuring all content is brand-aligned, equity-centered, and reflective of the Food Bank's strategic plan and community impact.
The Strategic Marketing & Communications Manager has two direct reports, including a Senior Social Media Specialist and a Writer & Content Specialist. This role mentors and collaborates with these team members to deliver high-quality storytelling that engages audiences and amplifies the organization's work and impact.
The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank's mission is to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin counties. We envision a community free of the root causes of hunger, where everyone has access to nutritious food of their choosing and is uplifted by a network of support.
Together with more than 250+ community partners, we work to address hunger head-on through a coordinated network of neighborhood food pantries, CalFresh enrollment, home-delivered groceries, and policy and advocacy efforts. We work with our community to provide food for people facing hunger today while working to end the hunger of tomorrow. This fiscal year, we are serving 42,000 households per week. SALARY The position is full-time. The starting salary for this position ranges from $114,000-$120,000, with exact salary depending on experience.
