Job Description

Hotel Marketing Specialist

The Hotel Marketing Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and updating content across various distribution channels for our properties. They will create and manage promotional campaigns to generate bookings, playing an essential role in achieving revenue budgets.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

  • Maintain and manage a comprehensive working calendar for all promotions.
  • Inform the Regional Hotel Marketing Manager of upcoming promotions that need creation, updates, or revisions.
  • Maintain all key marketing spreadsheets, including:
  • Advertising Schedule
  • Build and manage source codes, rate codes, and marketing key codes used across promotions and distribution channels.
  • Build and update flash sale promotional sheets to support reservation agents with accurate offer details.
  • After each flash sale, record sales performance including room nights, total revenue, and ADR within the Ad Schedule.
  • Prepare initial wholesale contracts and renewals for external partners, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Submit Wholesale, OTA, Flash Sale, and other agreements to Legal, and ensure final signed documents are filed within the shared drive.
  • Maintain up-to-date resort information including photos, renovations, amenities, and staff updates across all required platforms.
  • Complete data content update requests promptly to maintain accuracy across distribution channels.
  • Submit Workfront requests for sales and marketing collateral, collaborating with Creative Services as needed.
  • Keep an accurate tiered promotions spreadsheet to support pricing and promotional strategy.
  • Participate in weekly property review calls, provide updates, and recommend improvements or potential promotional changes.
  • Ensure rate parity is maintained across all distribution channels except Clarity.
  • Assist with multiple advertising campaigns and carry out other tasks as directed by the Hotel Marketing Manager

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is a must, along with strong skills in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills across written, verbal, and digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • GED or High School Diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Proven ability to build professional relationships and maintain strong working partnerships.
  • Analytical outlook to evaluate promotions and find opportunities for improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous hotel or hospitality industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience using Workfront or similar project management software.
