As an RN BMT Oncology Adult Outpatient Infusion nurse with HealthONE, you will provide highly specialized, compassionate care to adult patients receiving treatment for cancer and blood disorders, including those undergoing bone marrow transplant. Working within HealthONE’s Denver-based network of advanced healthcare facilities, you will play a key role in delivering cutting-edge oncology and BMT therapies in an outpatient setting, helping patients navigate complex treatment regimens while maintaining safety, dignity, and hope. In this role, you will be responsible for comprehensive nursing care throughout each infusion visit. You will conduct thorough assessments, review treatment plans, and prepare patients and families for chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusions, and supportive infusions. You will manage central venous access devices such as ports and PICC lines, ensuring proper access, maintenance, and infection prevention. Using evidence-based protocols, you will administer hazardous and non-hazardous medications safely, perform double-checks for chemotherapy, and closely monitor for infusion reactions and oncologic emergencies, intervening promptly when changes in patient condition occur. You will collaborate daily with oncologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care across the continuum, from initial consultation through survivorship or ongoing disease management. You will support BMT patients through pre-transplant evaluation, conditioning regimens, transplant, and post-transplant follow-up, following established pathways and national guidelines. Education will be central to your practice, as you teach patients and caregivers about treatment expectations, symptom management, central line care, infection prevention, and available community resources. Documentation will be completed accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record, reflecting assessments, interventions, medications, and patient outcomes. You will actively support safe clinic operations by following all protocols for hazardous drug handling, PPE use, spill management, and regulatory compliance. As a member of HealthONE’s culture of excellence and compassion, you will contribute to continuous quality-improvement efforts, participate in staff meetings and educational sessions, and help foster a supportive, team-oriented environment. HealthONE offers an environment that values innovation in healthcare, teamwork, and professional growth. As an RN in the Adult Outpatient Infusion department, you will have opportunities to expand your expertise in oncology and BMT nursing, pursue advanced certifications, and meaningfully impact patient outcomes every day while working in a modern, patient-centered infusion setting aligned with HealthONE’s mission of superior patient care and community health.
