About the role:

The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality by developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance processes and standards. This role focuses on identifying defects, driving root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Key Responsibilities:

As the QA Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Ensure in-process quality control for refrigeration products (e.g., coils) to meet product specifications and customer requirements
  • Manage customer complaints, including containment actions, investigation, and timely closure to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Perform root cause analysis (RRCA) and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues
  • Conduct return part tear-down analysis to identify failure modes in components and products
  • Ensure timely PPAP submission and approval readiness
  • Perform line audits and process audits to ensure adherence to standard work, quality plans, and manufacturing procedures
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System and support internal/external audits
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
  • Support product and process validation during new product introduction (NPI) and engineering changes
  • Implement containment actions and poka-yoke solutions to prevent defect escape and recurrence
  • Ensure timely and accurate quality reporting (daily issues, weekly and monthly quality performance reports)
  • Support digitalization of quality processes
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Supplier Quality teams to resolve quality issues
  • Guide and support technicians in inspection, testing, and quality problem-solving activities
  • Ensure product reliability, safety, and compliance with internal and customer standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Supervises implementation of solutions to nonconformities and/or quality issues raised by customers.
  • Supervises test and inspection plans, methods, and technologies to assure the reliability and conformance of products and processes.
  • Supervises processes that identify and/or manage risk in product development, utilizing UPPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).
  • Supervises Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and develops proposals for corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
  • Provides oversight to ensure that process control documentation is compliance with requirements, objectives, and / or contracts

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Quality experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel)
  • HVAC products/ field service experiences
  • Basic Air Refrigeration Knowledge
