We’re looking for a talented Marine Engineer to join our Team, located out of our Chesapeake, VA or Ledyard, CT office. Responsibilities Research technical manuals, ship drawings, feedback, and regulatory requirements to assist in new vessel maintenance plan development or revisions Perform shipchecks to assist in the development and validation of maintenance plan Assist in condition monitoring system development, installation, and commissioning Collect and validate machinery vibration data and diesel engine combustion data from operating machinery while in port and at sea Travel to vessels to perform maintenance system software installation Install programs onto computer or computer-controlled equipment Provide support for research projects Assist in root cause analysis investigationsManage and prioritize multiple project timelines Any additional duties assigned to help assist in other departments Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Must be able to obtain a DOD Security Clearance Ability to perform work onboard ships while underway Ability to climb ladders Able to lift up to 50 lbs., sit and/or stand for long periods of time Desired Qualifications Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, and job specific software applications Develop individual relationships by listening, sharing ideas, and appreciating others' efforts Highly organized and Detailoriented Excellent timemanagement skills with ability to accurately prioritize tasks, multitask, and move multiple projects forward Strong research, problem solving and analytical skills Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly Strong verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills Problem solving and decisionmaking skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Identify project risks, mitigate the risk or provide a recommendation Escalate project issues to appropriate leadership Accurately estimate task duration and meet schedules Experience working in an Agile environment and knowledge of key Agile principles Sailing or Shipyard experience USCG license SAMM experience SQL or Python Programming experience Current Passport Ability to travel local, domestic, and internationally when required #J-18808-Ljbffr Emprise Corporation
