Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Maritime Systems Division in Long Beach, MS. This role supports the development and integration of advanced shipboard marine power systems for next-generation manned and unmanned maritime platforms. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on experience in marine electrical systems and proficiency in AutoCAD for schematic and layout design. Key Responsibilities Design and develop shipboard electrical power systems, including AC/DC distribution, switchgear, and control systems Create and modify electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate subsystems into maritime platforms Support prototype development, testing, and field deployment Conduct verification and validation activities for marine electrical systems Prepare detailed technical documentation, including test plans and reports Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 3‑5 years of experience in shipboard or marine electrical systems Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and documentation Strong understanding of analog/digital circuit design and marine power distribution Willingness to travel for field testing and integration Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications Experience with embedded systems and microprocessor‑based control Familiarity with Altium Designer or similar PCB layout tools Knowledge of MIL‑STD electrical design practices Prior experience supporting DoD or naval programs Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00 All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to sex, race, ethnicity, age, national origin, citizenship, religion, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, family structure, marital status, ancestry, domestic partner status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran or military status, or any other basis prohibited by law.
