Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications and systems Write, test, and debug code using mainframe languages such as COBOL, JCL, or Assembler Analyze and resolve mainframe system issues, ensuring high availability and performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integrations and migrations Monitor batch processing jobs and optimize mainframe workloads Document technical specifications, processes, and system changes Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for mainframe development Requirements: Proven experience in mainframe development or administration (IBM z/OS environment preferred) Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, or related mainframe technologies Strong understanding of batch processing, job scheduling, and mainframe performance tuning Experience with mainframe tools such as ISPF, SDSF, or equivalent utilities Ability to troubleshoot complex mainframe issues independently in a remote setting Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
