Temporary Paralegal Real Estate (4-Month Contract)

3 Days a week/$40.00-50.00 Per Hour

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our team on a 4-month temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional looking to contribute to a fast-paced real estate practice.

About the Role

You will support our General Counsel in managing a variety of commercial real estate transactions from contract through closing. You'll play a key role in keeping deals on track, coordinating with clients, lenders, title companies, and other parties throughout the transaction process.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review real estate transaction documents including contracts, deeds, title commitments, and closing packages
• Coordinate and manage closings, including scheduling and preparation of closing statements (HUD-1/ALTA)
• Conduct title searches and review title reports for issues or encumbrances
• Communicate with clients, brokers, lenders, and municipalities to gather required documentation
• Perform due diligence, including zoning, lien, and UCC searches
• Maintain and organize transaction files and deadlines
• Draft correspondence and legal documents under attorney supervision

Qualifications

• 35 years of paralegal experience in real estate law required
• Paralegal certificate or Associate's/Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial real estate transactions
• Familiarity with title insurance, escrow procedures, and closing processes
• Proficiency in legal document management software and Microsoft Office
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
