Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2026-2027 school year, located in Bladenboro, NC. This role focuses on supporting K-12 students with a range of educational needs, including dyslexia, across grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. The caseload varies from moderate to profound complexity and can be adjusted based on experience and candidate preferences. Licensed candidates with pediatric expertise are encouraged to apply. Travel candidates are welcomed for this assignment.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Special Education teaching license
• Experience working with K-12 students, especially in special education settings
• Proficiency in supporting students with dyslexia and other learning challenges
• Ability to manage caseloads ranging from moderate to profound support needs
• Comfort working in both elementary (K-5) and secondary (6-12) grade levels
• Pediatric education and intervention experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide direct instruction and support tailored to varied learning abilities across grades K-12
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student outcomes
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Maintain clear and effective documentation and communication regarding student performance and needs
