Position: High School French Teacher Location: Plymouth-Canton Educational Park – Building to be Determined Overview Plymouth-Canton seeks culturally responsive teachers who support and sustain equity-focused instruction for all learners. Qualifications Valid Michigan teaching certificate with French (FA) endorsement. Relevant Understandings and Competencies Awareness of students’ physical, social, emotional and academic development. Ability to nurture the home‑school‑community relationship. Proficiency in core subject areas. Capability to create a flexible, stable, student‑centered learning environment while maintaining appropriate classroom management. Familiarity with culturally relevant pedagogy and ability to incorporate it into teaching practices. Knowledge of learning intervention practices such as MTSS. Collaborative work with colleagues in professional learning communities. Experience with research‑based instructional practices. Use of formative and summative assessments to evaluate and improve student achievement. Consistent implementation of the school district curriculum. Collaboration with school leaders to analyze assessment data and inform instruction. Weekly collaboration with grade‑level teams to discuss student work, share best practices and ensure mastery of standards. Relationship building with students’ families. Professional Development Participation in ongoing professional development is required. Start Date August 25, 2026. New hires must attend a three‑day orientation, August 19‑21, 2026. Salary Bachelor’s degree: up to step 7. Master’s degree: up to step 5.
