Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time position is available for the 2026-2027 school year working as a Special Education Teacher focused on dyslexia intervention for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. This role supports a varied caseload ranging from moderate to profound needs, tailored to the candidates experience and preferences. Licensed candidates with expertise in pediatric special education and a passion for supporting students with dyslexia are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with dyslexia across K-12 grades
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive support
• Track and report student progress regularly to adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth and confidence

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching license in special education
• Experience working with dyslexia and other learning differences
• Comfort teaching across multiple grade levels (K-5, 6-8, and 9-12)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage a caseload that varies in intensity, from moderate to profound needs

Location & Travel:This role is based in Portland, OR, with the possibility for travel candidates interested in relocating or working in a new community.
