Job Description

DPP is seeking a Front-end Web Developer for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.


Work location : Partial onsite (Tues., Wed., Thurs. and as needed).
Duration : 12 months
Terms : W2 contract
Work authorization : Candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level (Public Trust) US security clearance.


Position summary:

• This Developer will be a member of the team who is upgrading and deploying a large government application for customer service for Military and Veteran Members.
• This environment requires changes to both Front-end and Back-end Web Technologies.
• This position will focus on the needed experience to change solutions for our Front-end Web development and deployment.
• Strong collaboration with written and verbal communication is important to work as a large team to build a successful product. The ability to learn and adapt to our unique environment and processes is important.

Required technologies:

• JavaScript framework (Vue.js)
• Node.js
• Adobe Experience Manager
• Content Management Technologies
• Container Application Development
• Web deployment technologies

Nice to have:

• Experience with WebSphere Liberty, Node.js, and Java Application Development are a plus.
• Experience with developing microservices on large platform applications to support web operations is a plus.

About the team:

• This is a team culture with strength in collaboration and delivering quality work.
• The team has 20 developers and analysts that collaborate on multiple projects and are working to upgrade their applications to more recent technologies.

Minimum required work experience:

• 4 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.

Required education/equivalencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
• OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
• OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 8 years without a degree)
