Overview
The Frac Watch Operator is responsible for monitoring hydraulic fracturing (frac) operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. Professional, safety-oriented field personnel with hands-on experience supporting active frac operations, including pre-frac rig-up and post-frac rig-down activities. The ability to adapt to changing wellsite conditions, troubleshoot frac pressure control equipment , and optimize operational performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor frac operations using real-time data systems and surveillance tools.
- Observe pressure levels, flow rates, and fluid volumes to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate with field personnel, engineers, and supervisors regarding any anomalies or potential hazards.
- Document and report operational data, safety concerns, and incidents accurately.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with environmental, safety, and industry regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of frac pressure control equipment and notify appropriate personnel of any required maintenance.
- Support emergency response procedures when necessary.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or industry-specific training preferred.
- Previous experience in hydraulic fracturing, well-site monitoring, or oilfield operations is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret real-time data.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of oilfield safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, as frac operations require.
- Proficiency with computers and monitoring software is an advantage.
Physical Requirements:
- Operators often need to lift heavy equipment and work long hours, sometimes in strenuous conditions.
- Ability to navigate uneven terrain, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Long shifts, sometimes in extreme weather conditions, require physical and mental stamina.
- Good eyesight is essential for spotting potential hazards and monitoring equipment.
- Skills in handling tools and operating machinery with precision.

- PEC/SafeLand.
- Smith Driving Instruction.
