Location: Cashton Distribution Center This is a part time role and the primary hours and days for this role are Tuesday and Wednesday 8 am-5 pm or 9 am-6 pm. The Distribution Center Operator will operate material handling equipment while assembling orders to customer specifications. Loads and unloads trucks for the purpose of shipping and receiving goods. Responsible for entering information in Warehouse Management System (WMS) interface relative to product, shipment, and load status. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers within the yard. This is a safety sensitive position. The Distribution Center is open 365 days a year including holidays.
High school diploma or GED is required Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds regularly, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance, ability to push/pull objects up to 2,500 pounds using material handling equipment. Must be able to perform physical work in a variety of positions and at various heights includes bending, stooping, reaching and twisting of arms and body movement as well as walking and standing for extended periods of time. Tolerate a variety of temperatures conditions. Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions; work effectively and maintain deadlines. Must be able multitask, accurately enter data and be detail orientated Able to work holidays, nights, weekend, as assigned or requested Basic math skills including arithmetic; and Basic computer skills preferred Strong work ethic with history of good attendance. Maintain forklift operator certificate and material handling equipment. Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices Capacity for stress in service-oriented environment. Able to work independently, while in a team environment Prior experience moving trailers is preferred, as this role is responsible for relocating trailers within the yard.
The typical hourly wage for a new hire with little or no experience is $20.00. This position also receives a $2.00 per hour shift premium between the hours of 6pm and 12am, a $3.00 per hour shift premium between the hours of 12am and 6am and this position receives a $2.00 per hour shift premium on Saturdays and Sundays. This hourly wage range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base hourly wage compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the hourly wage range and hiring at the maximum of the hourly wage range is not typical.
