DevOps Cloud Engineer

Location: 100% Remote

Contract Length: through EOY + extension through end of 2023

Top Requirements:

• 7+ years of relevant work experience in related aspects of DevOps and software engineering.
• Hands on DevOps Automation experience
• Azure or AWS/Google Cloud or Hybrid Cloud experience (Azure preferred)
• Experience with Kubernetes/Docker container automation
• Engineering experience implementing CI/CD automation, including tools such as Jenkins, GitHub and/or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities:

• Implement reusable automated CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate closely with waterfall-centric teams to drive adoption of DevOps practices and tooling
• Evangelize automation throughout the software pipeline, including code scanning, test automation and infrastructure-as-code
• Implement dashboards and metrics
• Provide team guidance on agile and DevOps practices

Must Haves:

• Hands on DevOps Automation experience
• Kubernetes/Docker container automation
• Azure or AWS/Google Cloud or Hybrid Cloud experience

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant work experience in related aspects of software engineering
• Passion for working with software pipeline automation technologies
• Engineering experience implementing CI/CD automation, including tools such as Jenkins, GitHub and Azure DevOps
• Understanding of code quality tools and practices (SAST/DAST, SonarQube, pair programming, code coverage, code review, etc.)
• Strong verbal and visual communication skills
• Excellent diagnostic, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
• Able to adapt quickly to change without being afraid to take on new responsibilities in a fast-paced team environment while being proactive and action-oriented

Preferred Candidates Will Also Have:

• Experience with containers, Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps-related technologies is a plus (such as ARM Templates, AKS, Azure Container Registries)
• Experience with test automation tools/frameworks is a plus (Selenium, Junit, PyTest, etc.)
• Database knowledge and experience, particularly MS SQL, MySQL and Azure SQL
• Experience working in Agile teams
