Program Assistant — Adult Day Care Location: Joyful Living Adult Day Center Address: 90 Cambridge Street, Charlestown MA 02129 Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full Time | Dayshift Language: Mandarin or Cantonese Speaking Required Would you like to work in a rewarding environment with fantastic coworkers? This position is for you! Make a difference by providing compassionate care to the individuals we serve in our community-based Adult Day Program. Key Responsibilities Provide compassionate, hands‑on assistance with daily living needs such as feeding and toileting Offer mobility support and ensure participants are safe and comfortable throughout the day Encourage independence while providing respectful, dignified assistance as needed Assist with meal and snack support according to dietary guidelines Engage participants in meaningful activities, social interaction, and enrichment programs Monitor and report any changes in mood, behavior, or physical condition to the care team Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment Build positive, supportive relationships with participants and their families Work collaboratively with team members to provide high‑quality, person‑centered care Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; must be 18 years or older. Minimum one year of experience providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferably with older adults. CPR and First Aid certification required.
