PAY RATE:$90-$93 per hour
This position has 2 different shift options. 4 - 10hour shifts - 6:30am-5:30pm 5 - 8hour shifts - 6:30am-2:30pm 10-15 on call shifts a month for STEMI/ Stroke Coverage. NIHSS required.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and related interventional procedures.
Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, medications, labs, and consent forms.
Monitor patients’ vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status throughout procedures.
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including angiograms, stent placements, pacemaker insertions, and other vascular interventions.
Administer medications, including conscious sedation, as ordered and within scope of practice.
Operate and assist with specialized Cath Lab equipment and supplies.
Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including code blue and other cardiac emergencies.
Provide post-procedure monitoring and recovery care, including patient education and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Follow infection control, radiation safety, and hospital safety protocols.
Required Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience.
Experience with cardiac catheterization, interventional cardiology, and vascular procedures.
Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and emergency cardiac care.
Ability to circulate and monitor during procedures.
Required Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – AHA
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous travel nursing experience
Experience with EP Lab or IR procedures is a plus.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and workflows.
