What You Will Do: - This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated intern level Engineer to join us on the System Safety Engineering Team. You will:
- Learn MIL-STD-882E Safety processes and perform safety tasks and analysis in support of that guidance.
- Assist in the development of plans and reports to address key Safety focus areas.
- Support the interpretation of system requirements and customer specifications.
- Assist in the investigation and development of new technology that can benefit System Safety
- Assist in working across integrated product teams to learn to eliminate hazards and/or provide effective controls.
- Participate in the preparation of technical reviews as a part of the safety approval process
Qualifications You Must Have: - Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer: - Strong analytical skills
- Customer focus with strong collaboration skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of MS Office or other presentation tools
- Experience in the preparation and presentation of briefing material

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
